Whether you have a tiny backyard, a sunny side lot, or a whole "back 40", you have space for a pollinator patch! "Meadowscaping" is one of many terms used to convey the idea of planting native to support local biodiversity.

With pollinator declines on the rise, the choices we all make for our own properties are becoming more and more important. This presentation is designed to introduce not only the "Why" of planting native, but also gives a step-by-step guide to the "How." Shelby will discuss the many considerations before planting and provide management advice for a successful native meadow/pollinator patch.

Shelby Lyn Sanders, Foothills Land Conservancy's Director of Natural Resources, will provide this presentation at FLC's office in Rockford, TN. Following the presentation, Shelby will provide a short walk around the property's pollinator meadows.
