🌿 Weed Wrangle at FLC’s Harris Farm

Friday, March 27 | 9:00–11:00 AM

Join us from 9–11 AM for a Weed Wrangle at Foothills Land Conservancy’s 279‑acre Harris Farm! This is a unique chance to explore a property that is not regularly open to the public, learn more about its conservation value, and help protect the native habitats and wildlife that depend on it.

This volunteer event is open to all experience levels—whether you're a seasoned land steward or completely new to invasive plant removal. We will use hand tools such as pruners, loppers, and shovels to remove bush honeysuckle (Lonicera maackii), Tree-of-Heaven (Ailanthus altissima), and Chinese privet (Ligustrum sinense) and make space for native species to thrive.

We will meet at 9:00 AM in the Harris Farm driveway for a brief orientation before heading out. Please bring work gloves, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and layers appropriate for the weather.

Come spend a spring morning outside, connect with fellow conservation‑minded volunteers, and make a tangible difference on the land. We’d love to have you there!

For registration issues, please contact Elise Eustace at eeustace@foothillsland.org or 865-681-8326. For questions about this event, please contact Bailey Daining at bdaining@foothillsland.org or 865-681-8326.
